One of those partners is our main dental lab, Schell Dental Ceramics located right here in Kelowna, BC.
Many patients do not realize that a dentist’s work at the chairside is only a part of the process required to fabricate new teeth. For many dental procedures, there is a significant lab component. Dental technicians spend years of training and continuing education to acquire the artistry and technical skill to provide this service, and it is a distinctly different discipline from the skills of a clinical dentist.
Our lab continually strives to stay on the cutting edge of dental technology so they can provide our patients with the best possible crowns, bridges, and implant prosthetics available. The attention to detail required to achieve this goal is very challenging, but the dental technicians at Schell Dental are always up to the task. They leverage the latest in digital scanning and CAD/CAM technology to continually improve their product, which translates to better outcomes for our patients. Although sending our restorations to a dental lab takes longer than fabricating them in-office (crowns-in-a-day), it achieves results that are long lasting and of the highest achievable quality.
