HPV is a wide-spread virus with over 100 different strains. Unfortunately, a handful of the viral strains are associated with head and neck cancer. An important step in preventing this disease is getting regular head and neck exams by your dentist and hygienist, but there is something more effective at prevention than that. The HPV vaccine! The vaccine protects against 9 strains of the cancer causing virus and there is no upper age limit to getting the vaccine. Exciting News! Introducing the newest addition to our dental family! Congratulations to Dr. Reimer, who just gave birth to her daughter, Stevie. Throughout the years, Dr. Reimer has taken such great care of our smiles, and now she embarks on this incredible journey of motherhood. We're so proud of her and wish her all the love and joy that comes with this new chapter. Catch a glimpse of the adorable Stevie! We can't wait to see Dr. Reimer and her little one back at the clinic soon, but for now, we hope she enjoys every precious moment of maternity leave.
Do you have a dental procedure booked but then have an important meeting, or a big date right after? We carry a product called Oraverse that can be injected into the site that is frozen to reduce the time that you are numb by at least half! This is a great product for when you have a big event right after your procedure. It works by reversing the effects of the adrenaline in the dental anesthetic to open up the blood vessels and allow your body to clear away the freezing agent faster. With the arrival of the intense summer sun, we want to remind you to be sun safe! This means sun protective clothing, sunscreen and lip balm with an SPF in it. We see a lot of evidence of sun damage and pre-cancerous lesions on the face and lower lip. Please wear a wide-brimmed hat if you are spending time outside!
