Wheelchair accessible dentistry

At Okanagan Dentistry we strive to create access to dental care for everyone, including those with limited mobility issues and chronic medical conditions.  Many locations claim to be “wheelchair accessible,” which includes installing ramps and elevators to enter the building. The major challenge however, is transferring a patient from their wheelchair to the dental chair.

We are excited to announce that we have installed a ceiling track lift in one of our operatories so people with limited mobility can transfer to the dental chair with a sling to access the dental care they need.

We are proud to be one of the only dental practices in the Okanagan with a ceiling track lift!  If you have limited mobility issues and questions about accessibility, please give us a call and we can discuss it with you prior to your appointment.

Which dentist to choose?

Having Dr. Ian Leitch, Dr. Evan Wiens, and Dr. Natashia Bose-Roberts in the office allows us to provide our patients with more extended hours for dental appointments and more one-on-one time with the dentist at your regular checkup appointment.  However, we do realize that patients may have a preference for a dentist providing their dental care.  Please do not hesitate to let any of our staff know if you have a preference for a dentist.  We will keep that information on file and try our best to book your dental appointments accordingly.  Whether you have a “tried and true” or “open to new experiences” attitude...we respect and value your choice! Ian has chosen his fellow dentists very carefully. He is extremely confident in their skills and knows that they all strive for the same excellence in dentistry.

About Our Confirmation System

Prior to your appointments at Okanagan Dentistry you generally receive an email, text or phone call asking you to confirm your visit. Your scheduled time is saved specifically for you so it is important for us to know that you will be able to attend.  Once we have received an email, text, or phone confirmation you should not receive any further correspondence from us other than a courtesy reminder one day prior. Please let us know if there is any way we can serve you better in order to confirm your appointments.
